Nominations for Awards

It’s time to think about nominating your deserving fellow riders for some special awards!

AND THE WINNER IS . . .

Each year Portland Bicycling Club members nominate individuals they believe have shown exceptional effort on the club’s behalf over the course of the year. The nominations are made prior to year’s end, and the awards banquet is held the following January. There are a variety of categories including:

• members who have volunteered over and above what might be expected;
• ride leaders who have done the same;
• goodwill ambassadors who make the club look good;
• many awards for riders who improved a heck of a lot over the year;
• PLUS, there are non-traditional categories where you can create your own special award to recognize and capture a clubmate’s unique personality.

The awards committee, comprised of past winners of the Jim Mooney Member of the Year Award, selects winners from the written submissions received. Send nominations to [email protected].

Now is time to be looking around at your fellow riders who might deserve special recognition, not December 31 (the deadline). 😉
