Executive Board
The Portland Bicycling Club is governed by an 11-member Executive Board. Elections are held in December for President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Membership Secretary, Road Co-Captain, and two Member-at-Large positions. Elections for the other two Member-at-Large positions are held in June as well as the other Road Co-Captain position.

Mark Barnes, President
Duties of President: Conduct all Club meetings and Board meetings; represent the Club in legal matters; appoint a nomination committee and conduct elections; be a standing member of all committees; appoint temporary Board members if that Board member resigns.

Ann Morrow, Vice-President
Duties of Vice-President: Act as the president pro-tem in the absence of the president. Assist the president in committee representation; act as the chairperson of the Special Events Committee.

Christi Horton, Membership Secretary
Duties of Membership Secretary: Process new members’ applications; maintain the membership files; prepare an annual report of membership to be presented to the membership during the first quarter of each year. This is a one-year term elected in December for January – December.

Kathleen Hellem, Recording Secretary
Duties of Recording Secretary: Maintain a written record of all Board and general membership Club meetings.

Corey Eng, Treasurer
Duties of Treasurer: Manage Club finances; prepare and/or file tax reports or returns; prepare and submit to the membership an annual financial report during the first quarter of each year.

Robert Schroeder, Road Captain
Duties of Road Captain: Solicit, receive, and review Club sanctioned rides. Maintain and oversee Ride Calendar. Disperse Rider’s Digest as necessary. Oversee ride leaders and promote adherence to rules of the road and ensure ride leaders have materials needed such as ride sign-in sheets and envelopes. Recruit and train ride leaders. Maintain catalog/database of rides. The Board may, by a majority vote, cancel any proposed ride. This is a one-year term elected in June for July – June.

Todd McCollum, Road Captain

Richard Higgins, Member at Large

Alan Mevis, Member at Large
Duties of Member-at-Large: Assist the president and vice-president in carrying out the executive duties of the Board, including as a conduit between the Board and Club members and as a member of the Club’s Safety Committee. Doug Myers, Member at Large

Dave McQuery, Member at Large

Lynn Blanchard, Quick Releases Editor
Duties of Newsletter Editor: (not an official member of the Board but an important appointee who attends most board meetings) To collect information of interest to the general membership of the Club, and publish on a monthly basis the official Club Bulletin, which shall be known as the “Quick Releases.”
