Four Key Spots Still Open -Portland Bicycling Club

Four Key Spots Still Open

✎  Portland Bicycling Club coordinates the finish line at the Portland end of the Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic route every July. It will once again be at Holladay Park near Lloyd Center in 2024. We will organize up to 160 volunteers to support the finish line next year. This is a huge undertaking and the main fundraiser for our club.

Our club has been extremely well represented for the past 40 or so years cheering on and supporting thousands of STP finishers. A dedicated core group of club volunteers has spent countless hours making this happen over the decades. However, we are searching for new leaders now, with refreshed bodies and minds, to replace many who are reaching their senior years.

There are 14 leadership positions for 2024, with 10 filled and 4 key spots still open. Our leadership is 71% complete and has already begun to communicate, make plans, and organize in advance of the big event, the weekend of July 13-14, 2024. Will you please consider volunteering for one of these essential roles needed now for one or more days of the STP? Any of these could be shared, too, by a couple to double the fun. 😊😊 New members are welcome to sign up! No experience required. You will have the support of a team of volunteers, and the training and coaching of the previous team leader. Plus, you will receive lots of encouragement!
