The Central Oregon Menage a Trois: Prineville, Crooked River Canyon Out and Back
Description
Distances 40 to 43 miles. Leaves at 10:30AM from Stryler Park at 4th and Elm in Prineville. This is an out and back that parallels the Crooked River. It runs past farms, ranches, and a series of BLM campgrounds and day use areas on a very low traffic road. At the furthest extent is the dam that forms Prineville Reservoir. Bring something to eat for a stop at the last campground, Big Bend, at the 20 mile mark. This is also the only spot for water on the route. There is nowhere to stop for food on the route.
