French Prairie Loop from Champoeg State Park
Description
A scenic loop in the country over mostly flat to rolling terrain through the historic French Prairie area south of Champoeg. We’ll stop at Banker’s Cup café in St. Paul. After coffee we’ll continue south to the (very) small town of St Louis then turn north and return to the start. Suggest bringing a picnic lunch to enjoy at Champoeg after the ride.
Notes:
> The park has a $5 day use parking fee (the pay station doesn't accept cash, but if necc. you can pay with cash inside the office).
> There's a short ( ≈1/3 mile) gravel section on Case Rd - recommend using a bike with wider tires (preferably ≥ 28 mm).
