NEW ROUTE: Tour de Doc

Description

This is a route created by Roger Harris in honor of Doc Loomis several years ago when Roger and I were co-leading the summer East County series and has been a favorite since then. From the start this ride continues to Gresham via the I-205 and Springwater bike paths. From there it makes its way to Shorty's Corner east of Sandy on back roads and Highway 26 for a short distance. From this point, the climbing starts up Music Camp Road to the high point at 442nd and proceeds with some great rollers and flats on back roads back to highway 211 for a screaming descent to Tickle Creek road with more climbing to Kelso Road and a gradual descent to Boring and the Springwater. A coffee stop will be made at Jazzy Bagel prior to the cruise back to Wilshire Park. Expect at least 2,200 feet of elevation gain.
