Shake Down Tour – Day 1

Distance is for the entire two day loop.

This is intended for those getting ready for the touring season—especially the 2022 Jim O’Horo Memorial Columbia Gorge Explorer. Check out your gear, and check out your legs! Short overnight tour from Tualatin to Champoeg and return. Spend the night at the Champoeg Hiker/Biker camp area. Fee is $5.00/person payable to Oregon State Parks at check-in. Route will be from parking lot behind Outback Steakhouse, ride to Sherwood, then Newberg, and then to Champoeg. Hiker/Biker area is not real close to the restrooms, but they are available and showers as well. Return on Saturday via Champoeg Road, Butteville Road, cross the Willamette on Boone-Bridge over I-5, to Boones Ferry. Lunch option at Donald Café on Saturday.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow for sign-up/check-in. Cue sheets will be available if requested in advance. On line signup is available until 7:00 AM the day of the ride.
