Distance 10.6 miles. Leaves at 9:30 from under the Hawthorne Bridge on the northeast side off Water Avenue between Main Street and Madison near the Fire Station on the river. Are you a new bicycle owner or dusting off an old bike and wanting to ride? Well, we have rides! We’ll do the work, you just show up and we’ll help you Take Life by the Handlebars! Requirements: a bicycle and a helmet (more details at portlandbicyclingclub.com under Rides/Ride Ratings, Requirements, and Tips). Our solemn pledge is to leave no rider behind. This is a Portland Bureau of Transportation route to showcase the scenery along the Willamette River between the Steel and Sellwood bridges. We’ll stop for a snack near Tilikum Crossing. Level A.
