Ron Householder Memorial -Portland Bicycling Club

Ron Householder Memorial

Description

Ron Householder, a long-time and highly involved member, upon his passing bequeathed funds to our club, on the stipulation that they be used as a celebration for our members. As such, we will be having a celebration at the Cornelius Pass Roadhouse McMenamins in his honor.

Rides will start at 10 am at the Roadhouse. There is an approx. 30 mile re-group option (led by Scott Poindexter, moderate pace) that will go through the Helvetia Hills and back on Evergreen. There will be another option for those who want a flatter and more leisurely ride (re-group, approx. 23 miles, led by Ashley Reynolds, leisurely pace), out to North Plains on low traffic roads such as Meek and Padgett.

The luncheon will begin at 12:45, and McMenamins classic dishes will be served. Food and lemonade/ice tea will be provided, but please plan on purchasing your own alcohol.

You do not need to ride to attend the luncheon, but we ask that you register, as the luncheon is limited to 100 people. While the celebration is for members only, each member is allowed to bring one guest (please register guests). If you plan on riding only, please do not register (only if attending the luncheon).

Please note, McMenamins requests that you bring an extra pair of shoes as cleats may damage the flooring. Since it is catered, all we ask is that you show up and have fun!
