McKenzie Pass Ride – rescheduled to Thursday

Description

This is an out and back route where you can stop at the Dee Wight Observatory around the 18 mile mark and then return to Sisters. Or, continue over the other side to Belknap Hot Springs at 36 miles and then return to Sisters for a total of 72 miles. Start in Sisters and follow an 1860s wagon route that includes views of Mt. Washington and lava flows. The steep descent to Belknap Hot Springs has switchbacks through dense, verdant Cascadian forests. Bring plenty of food and water since there is none available along the route.
