Lyle to Goldendale Loop -Portland Bicycling Club

Lyle to Goldendale Loop

Description

Join us on this classic fall favorite. After the first 10 miles you are on the high plateau with just enough climbing to reward you with views of Mt. Adams and after lunch the Klickitat River Canyon. Steady descent following the Klickitat River to where it flows into the Columbia River. Multiple lunch options in Goldendale, WA. (Contrary to current rumors circulating, there is no gravel on this ride. Paved roads throughout.)

Planned re-group points allow the way.

Allow One and half hours to the start location at the Klickitat Trailhead.

Drive I-84 east to Exit 64 for Highway 35, White Salmon and Government Camp. After existing, turn left for Bingen, White Salmon and the Toll bridge. Drive 1.1 miles, paying the $2 toll at the Hood River Bridge. On the Washington side turn right onto Highway 14 and continue east for 11 miles toward Lyle.
