Are you a new bicycle owner or dusting off an old bike and wanting to ride? Well, we have rides! We’ll do the work, you just show up and we’ll help you Take Life by the Handlebars! Requirements: a bicycle and a helmet (more details at portlandbicyclingclub.com under Rides/Ride Ratings, Requirements, and Tips). Our solemn pledge is to leave no rider behind. Get a good look at some of Portland’s quintessential history and attributes in one short bicycle ride. Starting in the downtown area we’ll head east into the Hawthorne neighborhood then use the Burnside Bridge to return to town. Isn’t Voodoo Donuts nearby?? ;-)
