A Quick Tour of July Rides

Seattle to Portland (STP), July 13-14, a 206-mile ride in one or two days through the scenic valleys, forests, and farmlands of western Washington and Oregon with views of Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens. Come join what Bicycling Magazine has listed as one of the best cycling events in the nation! Portland Bicycling Club runs the finish line and will welcome you home. Tumalo Camping Trip, July 19-21, a PBC club ride in central Oregon, out of Tumalo State Park’s campground, cruising through Ponderosa pine forests, sage, juniper, farmland, and volcanic formations. Event headquarters is at campsite #34. At last check, the campground was full, but there are many choices for lodging nearby in Bend, Sisters, or Redmond. Ride calendar. PBC ride leader: Bud Rice. Ride Around Clark County (RACC), July 27. PBC members get a $5 discount. Five beautiful ride options through the scenic countryside, hosted by Vancouver Bicycling Club.
