Ride to Defeat ALS

Description

ALS (“Lou Gehrig’s Disease”) is a devastating condition that robs one’s body of its ability to function. While some individuals diagnosed with ALS have variable life expectancy, the survival rate is zero. There is no cure. Similar to Reach the Beach, this is a benefit ride. To participate, you will need to register ($25 before May 1st, $35 thereafter) and commit to raising $150. All proceeds go the the local chapter of the ALS Association, the Oregon and SW Washington Chapter. Google “ride to Defeat ALS Oregon 2019” for the website to register and detailed ride information or use the web address below. There are 5 distances available - from 3 to 75 miles. Maps are provided at the check-in table. Breakfast, marked courses, well stocked rest stops, SAG support, finish line lunch with wine and beer - what better way to entice you to participate? I will be riding the 50 mile option, however you may choose to ride whatever distance is offered. Ride web address: http://web.alsa.org/site/TR/Endurance/OregonandSWWashington?pg=entry&fr_id=13954
