Do You Know Dick Weber?

Lynn Blanchard: He’s the famous one in the lyrics of Mileage Creditville from the awards banquet. The one whose picture the American Lung Association uses for the weekly Reach the Beach training ride Facebook events. Dick has been a PBC member since 1992 and has volunteered in many capacities over the years: as a ride leader for club rides and event rides, as a team leader for the STP, for the Pioneer Century®, and more.
Would you buy Dick a cup of coffee? OK, would you pay the equivalent of a cup of coffee to help him raise funds for the American Lung Association? If 40 people who read this will donate just $5 to Dick’s fundraising, he will meet the minimum requirement and be able to participate in this year’s Reach the Beach. ✎
Kathleen Hellem: Please consider donating to Dick Weber’s RTB fundraising page. In the past decade, up through 2023, Dick successfully headed up our PBC RTB Training Ride Series! What a treat for both the newer cyclist and the more seasoned cyclist to get to train with Dick Weber. Dick has inspired many people to reach their personal cycling goals over many decades. With OVER 300K miles in the saddle, is it any wonder?
Thanks in advance for supporting Dick’s effort to raise funds for the American Lung Association’s REACH THE BEACH!
Dick Weber: Thank you for your consideration in supporting me for this event. The RTB bicycle event became important to me when I started riding it in the early 1990s. This was after several of my bike club friends acquired lung disease or passed away from lung cancer. I would like to see more effective treatments and a cure developed. If you would financially support me as I do this ride, you will be helping to support the American Lung Association as they further the task of eradicating lung diseases. I would be truly grateful if you would please consider being one of my sponsors by making a tax-deductible donation and in turn helping this very worthy cause.
