The Central Oregon Menage a Trois: Camp Sherman, Wizard Falls, Metolius River

Description

Distances 60, 53, 45, and 35 miles. Leaves at 10:00AM from Village Green Park at Fir and Jefferson in Sisters, Oregon. Cruise past ranches and through Ponderosa pine forests. Stop for photo ops at the headwaters of the Metolius River and the Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery. The lunch stop is at the Camp Sherman General Store at picnic tables on the grass under the Ponderosa pines. Distances can be altered at the start or at the middle of the ride.

If you are looking for accommodations for this event Bend is centrally located. Sisters is 20 miles to the west of Bend and Prineville is 38 miles to the east. If you are looking for something more economical Tumalo State Park and Campground is just 5 miles west of Bend. You can make state campground reservations six months ahead of the first day of your reservation. All three rides start at parks with restroom access.
