Once again it’s December. What says December more than Dickens A Christmas Carol? And what says A Christmas Carol more than Ebenezer Scrooge? And what could possibly say Ebenezer Scrooge more than the Royal Exchange where we see further evidence of his love of money and his desire to be social with the well to do and influential businessmen. This is where we discover that he is not just a tight and miserly and mean individual, he is a filthy, money grubbing, bourgeois, capitalist pig intent on subjugating the masses, and...oh, sorry. Got carried away, but along the same thought-lines, it appears to have been turned into a shopping mall where you may wish to do a little business before the meeting. By the way, its classical temple facade is at the intersection of Threadneedle and Cornhill.
