Wednesday Waterfalls: Clark Park to Old Bridge Trailhead Out & Back

Description

WEDNESDAY WATERFALL SERIES: THEME & VARIATIONS. This ride is a peaceful escape into the Molalla River Corridor, a ribbon of paved road that winds along the Molalla River's east bank forest with creek crossings and small cascades. It’s the kind of route that feels like a retreat: quiet roads, gentle grades, and the sense of riding deeper into Oregon’s green heart. Expect long, peaceful stretches and the satisfying rhythm of steady climbing followed by a smooth, scenic descent back toward town.

Bring water and snacks for a brief rest stop at the Old Bridge Trailhead before we turn around to head back to the Start. After returning to town, we'll meet at Las Delicias Panadería Bakery for coffee and Mexican pastries before rolling the final few blocks back to Clark Park.

You'll have the option to ride with me as a group (we'll re-group at key points) and must be able to maintain a minimum cruising speed of 13 MPH on a flat or gentle hill terrain. Riders slower than 13 MPH on Level A terrain and faster riders are welcome to participate non-group and ride at their own pace.

Variation: If you're interested in a shorter ride, you can start at about Mile 9; from South Dickey Prairie Road, turn right onto South Molalla Forest Road, and park about 1/4 mile from the bridge there where you see the turn for South Fork Molalla Road. Please let me know if you choose this option, and I'll send you a screenshot, so you have a better idea where you're going. Your ride will be about 28 miles total. We'll meet you there between 8:45-9:00 AM.
