Tooth Rock Trailhead to Vista House in the Gorge
Description
This out-and-back ride starts at Tooth Rock Trailhead on the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail. We will ride west on the paved Trail for 3.5 miles, then transition to the frontage road at the Elowah Falls trailhead, then to the Historic Columbia River Highway past the waterfalls before climbing to Vista House/Crown Point. We will regroup at Multnomah Falls (water and restrooms) and Vista House. There is no water or restroom at Vista House as it is closed on Wednesday, so plan accordingly.
The Highway is currently closed between Vista House and Larch Mountain Road, so there will be less traffic than normal between Multnomah Falls and Vista House. (That section of the Highway is scheduled to reopen toward the end of September, and the Highway viaduct just east of Multnomah Falls will close for rebuilding at around the same time.)

Take Exit 40 off of I-84 (Bonneville Way), turn right, then left to travel up to the parking lot (which is also the no-fee overflow lot for the Wahclella Falls hike). There is no parking permit or fee required at this trailhead.
