STP Training Ride #4: Wilshire Park to Troutdale & Back

Description

You do not need to be a PBC member. This ride is open to anyone who wants to get ready for the next edition of the famous Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic, which will be held on July 11-12 this year...and even if you're not planning to ride the STP, come join the training ride just for fun. Online signup for this training ride is required (also available via Smartphone at check-in). Please arrive no later than 9:45 AM and be ready to roll at 10:00 AM.

Restrooms are open at Wilshire Park. There will also be a rest stop for coffee/lunch midway at Rivertrails Cafe where indoor and outdoor seating is available. The route includes multiple stretches with no traffic signals (hooray!), including 2 miles on NE Marine Drive on the way out and two stretches on the way back (1.7 and 1.9 miles). Ride with GPS is available for this ride (see link below).

This will be a re-group ride, similar to a group ride, and no one will be left behind; however, if you prefer to go faster than 13-15 MPH, you're welcome to use the Ride with GPS map and ride ahead of the group.

Light rain will be OK; heavy rain will cancel the ride.
