STP Training Ride #11–Hagg Lake from Hillsboro

Description

Same ride as last week, but we go around the lake the opposite way this time. BIG hill after entrance to the park.
Starts out on city streets, then to pretty busy roads with good shoulders. No restrooms at the start. Please plan accordingly.

The route around Hagg Lake pretty much mimics the STP terrain between Chehalis and Castle Rock. Plan on 13-15 mph on the level sections. I am treating this as a group ride, but if you know the route, can follow the RwGPS map available or follow the cue sheet, you can proceed at your own pace. If you print a cue sheet from the map, please note the change of direction! Same notation if I provide you one at the start. Please request it 24 hours in advance. We will re-group at the Lake Stop Grocery both before and after going around the lake.

Remember that April is a transition month--weather could be cold and rainy or just nice or even sunny and hot. If it is a sunny day, remember that you have been covered up all winter, so sunblock would be a good item to carry.
