Slow Hill Ride: Riverview to Jim and Patty’s
Back for another spring/summer season. The Slow Hill Ride Series is designed for those who want to increase their hill climbing ability but aren’t necessarily concerned with speed. While riders are welcome to take a map/cue sheet and go their own speed, no rider will be left behind. The ride leader will regroup with those who want to stay together. So come out and get that heart pumping and those thighs strong to reach your riding goals. Please park on the street (if the Dental Van is present) and meet on the sidewalk along 41st Ave. Today we'll cover 1482 feet of elevation. From 41st and Woodstock, we’ll head down the Springwater and cross the Sellwood Bridge. We climb to the top of Riverview Cemetery and head north on Terwilliger to the Chart House, downtown, across the Hawthorne Bridge, take the east side esplanade to Williams, then Going St to 47th. Our coffee stop is at Jim and Patty’s on 50th and Fremont. From there we’ll return via 74th, climb the side of Tabor (on Harrison) and return via 52nd.
