Slow Hill Ride: Mt. Scott and Mt. Tabor
Description
The Slow Hill Ride Series is designed for those who want to increase their hill climbing ability but aren’t necessarily concerned with speed. While riders are welcome to take a map/cue sheet and go their own speed, riders will not be left behind. The ride leader will regroup with those who want to stay together. So come out and get that heart pumping and those thighs strong to reach your summer riding goals. Please park on the street (if the Dental Van is present) and meet on the sidewalk along 41st. Today we'll cover 1391 feet of elevation. From 41st and Woodstock, we’ll head out the Springwater Trail to 128th, then follow Deardorff Rd. up the side of Mt. Scott. After the ascent, we’ll head down to Sunnyside Rd, cross it and take Summers to Lawnfield and the I-205 Multi Use Trail. We’ll climb Mt. Tabor from the east side and descend on the west side. Shortly after the descent, we’ll stop at Rain OR Shine Coffeehouse on 60th and Division. From there it’s a flat 4 miles to the end.
