Sisters to Smith Rock Out and Back

Description

A gorgeous Oregon landmark, Smith Rock is worth the 69-mile ride! The ride is an O&B beginning in Sisters at the Village Green City Park. Outbound, it is mostly descent, and the return is ascent—there are no challenging climbs on this ride. Care has been taken to select low-traffic roads. At Smith Rock (halfway), we will enjoy a rest stop. There are restrooms and water at Smith Rock. Bring your camera—it is a truly beautiful ride!

Rides leave at the posted time, so arrive early enough to be ready. Rides may commence in cold and wet weather; however, they will be canceled if conditions are deemed unsafe or excessively unpleasant. Please check the ride status on the calendar within five hours of the scheduled start time. Come with a sense of adventure and self-reliance. You are expected to bring what you need to fix a flat and keep yourself on track. Bring food, water, and the appropriate kit. Print and bring the PDF directions if you don't use GPS. Please note that this is a non-group ride, allowing participants to ride at their own pace.
