RSVP Training: Portland Bikeways Metric Century

Description

Join us for the final RSVP Training ride. Everyone is welcome to join, even if you're not doing RSVP event.

This ride utilizes several of the Portland Eastside bike paths to make a metric century ride. From Wilshire Park we will head over to Marine Drive and head east, using the bike path where available (though there will be a few miles on Marine Drive itself), then the Cha'ak Cha'ak trail to Troutdale where we will stop at Lewis and Clark Park for restrooms/water. We will follow Halsey west to 201nd, then head north on the Fairview-Gresham trail to the Springwater. We will head out to Boring (restroom and water), then double back on the Springwater to Portland (possible stop at the Springwater/82nd food carts for lunch/snack). We will finish by crossing the Blumenauer Bridge and back to the park.

This is a regroup ride, we will stop at different points to regroup. Ride leader will be riding at the posted speed of 15-17 mph on the flats with no wind. If you wish to ride faster or slower, you can treat the ride as a non-group ride, just be sure you download or print the map and let the ride leader know.

Reminder: Please bring flashing lights for your bike. Bring water and fuel for ride. Please bring everything you need to fix a flat. As a group we will stop and offer assistance. Bring appropriate clothing for the weather. Ride will cancel if riding conditions are deemed unsafe. Check ride calendar before heading out.
