Reach the Beach 2025: 3/4-Century

Description

Reach the Beach Oregon is a fundraiser for the American Lung Association. Minimum fundraising requirement to participate in the ride this year is $200. Go to https://action.lung.org/goto/PBC2025 to join the team, pay your registration fee, and participate in fundraising. This is separate from signing up on the PBC website for club miles.

Meet at the start where we'll all gather by the arch for a group photo and head out together. We may eventually break into smaller groups along the way, depending upon pace, but our PBC team will have an exclusive cabana at Fort Stevens State Park where we can all meet up at the beach even if we arrive at the finish at different times. All routes have the same finish, so we'll see even those from our team who will be riding the full century.

Reach the Beach Oregon is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year and is open to all kinds of bicycles! it has superb organization, a beautiful 75-mile route with four rest stops before you reach the beach. In addition, Eyes on Wheels https://eyesonwheels.org/about-us/ will be patrolling the route, providing support, and keeping everyone safe. They ask that if you have someone driving to pick you up at the finish line, for the safety of riders, please ask drivers not to follow the bike route but to please use Hwy 26 or Hwy 30 to reach Fort Stevens State Park.
