PWTC/RIP Ride -Portland Bicycling Club

PWTC/RIP Ride

Description

This ride leaves from Woodstock Park. Bid a farewell to the name PWTC on the first Saturday of June. The first Saturday of June has for decades been the day our club has proudly presented the Pioneer/Spring Century. In this riders eyes, this date has historic significance in PWTC and Northwest cycling history. We’ll travel from Woodstock Park out the Springwater to the Boring Trailhead. A bicycle rack, with ‘Portland Wheelmen Touring Club’ cut into the steel frame was presented to the community of Boring at this location. Bring a used tube to place on the rail as a memorial. Short tributes to a good friend are appropriate. Our return will stop at Jazzy Bagel. And then it is time to move into the future. A map will be provided at the start.
