McKenzie Pass O&B

Description

McKenzie Pass is without a doubt the most spectacular ride in Central Oregon, showcasing forests on both the east and west sides of the Cascades (they’re different) as well as a lava-rock moonscape at the top that’s unlike anything you’ll probably ever see on a bike ride again. The ride starts at the Village Green City Park in Sisters. There are restrooms at the park. There is a good amount of climbing involved with this ride. Along with it comes a satisfying descent back on a newly paved road.

Rides leave at the posted time, so arrive early enough to be ready. Rides may commence in cold and wet weather; however, they will be canceled if conditions are deemed unsafe or excessively unpleasant. Please check the ride status on the calendar within five hours of the scheduled start time. Come with a sense of adventure and self-reliance. You are expected to bring what you need to fix a flat and keep yourself on track. Bring food, water, and the appropriate kit. Print and bring the PDF directions if you don't use GPS. Please note that this is a non-group ride, allowing participants to ride at their own pace.
