Gorge Ride

Description

The 13th Annual Gorge Ride features world-class scenery from the Historic Columbia River Highway (HCRH) and HCRH State Trail. This fully supported non-competitive bike ride begins at the Columbia River Gorge Discovery Center and Museum, 5000 Discovery Drive, The Dalles, and traverses through the Columbia River Gorge to the Senator Mark O. Hatfield West Trailhead, just east of Hood River before returning to the Discovery Center. That’s a 38.5 mile round trip! Start time is between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM. This route is a combination of historic roadway that is open to motor vehicles, with very low traffic, and the HCRH State Trail that is open only to hikers and bicyclists. Experience the panoramic view at Rowena Crest. Visit the grounds of the historic Mayerdale Estate. Travel through the restored Mosier Twin Tunnels. Support includes snacks, water, map/cue, mechanical support and SAG. For ride information and registration use the following links: www.GorgeRide.com or www.gorgeride.eventbrite.com
