French Prairie loop: Champoeg State Park – St Paul – St Louis

Description

An incredibly scenic loop through the historic French Prairie area south of Champoeg State Park. We’ll pass by Heirloom Roses nursery on the way to the coffee stop (11 miles into the ride) at Banker’s Cup café in downtown St. Paul. After coffee we continue south to the (very) small town of St Louis then loop back north to Champoeg. Suggest bringing a picnic lunch for after the ride. START LOCATION DETAILS: Champoeg is a large park! We'll start from the Riverside Day Use area: After you enter the park go to the self-serve kiosk at the bottom of the hill (Note: $5 day use parking fee), then make a hard left turn and go west 0.8 mile to the Riverside Day Use area.
