Forest Park Trail

Description

Enjoy a ride through Portland's largest and wildest park! Forest Park has a lot to offer. Most cities do not have a forest of this size within the city. I ride a road bike with heavy 28mm tires and it's fine although a little bumpy in places.

Cross the Broadway Bridge, climb through Nob Hill, and enter Forest Park at the end of Thurman St. Please note that the eleven miles of Leif Erikson Dr between Thurman St and Germantown Rd are unpaved. After a smooth and fast descent on Germantown Rd, cross the St Johns Bridge, and return on Willamette Blvd, Ainsworth, and Going. Optional stop at Cathedral Coffee Shop after the bridge on the corner of Willamette Blvd and Edgewater.
