Crooked River from Prineville

Description

Joel Loh tells me this is a beautiful ride. What more do I need? I've ridden in the Prineville area and seen how gorgeously beautiful it is. The route takes us south along the Crooked River to the Bowman Dam, and that part of the ride alone is stunning and worthwhile. We head west to the Alfalfa Store, which is about halfway. I can't guarantee it will be open, but if it is, there is an opportunity for water, food, and restroom use. After, it's north back to Prineville.

Rides leave at the posted time, so arrive early enough to be ready. Rides may commence in cold and wet weather; however, they will be canceled if conditions are deemed unsafe or excessively unpleasant. Please check the ride status on the calendar within five hours of the scheduled start time. Come with a sense of adventure and self-reliance. You are expected to bring what you need to fix a flat and keep yourself on track. Bring food, water, and the appropriate kit. Print and bring the PDF directions if you don't use GPS. Please note that this is a non-group ride, allowing participants to ride at their own pace.
