Club Meeting -Portland Bicycling Club

Club Meeting

Description

Join us for the monthly Club Meeting to catch up with your riding buddies and learn from a different cycling-related guest presenter each month. This is where you can hear updates and ask questions about events we are planning and issues we are working on as a club. Or you might find an interesting book to borrow from the Club Library or win a door prize. If you have never been to a Club Meeting, come give one a try and see if you can recognize your fellow-cyclist without their helmets.

This month's guest presenter is Roger Geller, the Bicycle Coordinator for Portland Bureau of Transportation. Some of the topics he will discuss are plans for road widening, bike lanes, and traffic signal improvement projects. Also, a review of proposed Greenways and if there will be repaving of some of the worst roads, e.g., Holman. And, the time table for unrolling changes to meet Portland's Vision Zero, i.e., to have zero traffic-related deaths in Portland. https://www.portlandoregon.gov/transportation/40390
