Climb Spree

Description

Other hilly rides too easy? Tired of waking up pain-free? Wanting to up your climbing game? Well have we got a ride for you… Come out for a tour of some of the most challenging hills in the SW area. We will be hitting some honest-to-gawd soul crushers such as Heater, Quarry, and Labrousse but fear not as you will also be rewarded with an equal number of thrilling, long descents. That’s right, once your legs quit you can coast. Sweeping views included at no extra charge. Total elevation gain is 3381 feet. There are two crossings of Hwy 99 but otherwise we will be riding on quiet rural roads. There is a water refill/restroom opportunity at the midpoint of the ride, and a little further on a nice coffee/snack stop before we hit the last major climb. The route starts with an easy warmup spin through the nature park and surrounding neighborhood but after that we climb. And then we really climb.
We will regroup at the top of each climb and before major turns. This is an advanced intermediate to advanced level ride and you should come with the ability and experience to tackle tough climbs and a commitment to finish. You are encouraged to study the route map and familiarize yourself with it.
