Bike Farm Ride
Description
Leaves from Bike Farm, 1810 NE 1st Ave, Portland. This is an urban ride in which we will explore some of the newer cycling centric infrastructure in lovely PDX. We’ll ride across the new(ish) Ned Flanders Crossing, travel across and under and around many bridges and use the Blumenauer Bridge connecting the Lloyd District and Central Eastside Portland across I-84 at 7th Avenue. Group Ride. Pace will be determined by group.
Why Bike Farm? Portland Bicycling Club has been donating to them for a few years now, recognizing their importance to the local cycling community. Bike Farm is a do-it-yourself (or do-it-together) non-profit bike collective, run entirely by volunteers. With bike stands and professional-grade tools available for use, the goal is for you to do the maintenance/repair yourself, while volunteers help guide your learning as needed. The shop also offers for sale used or refurbished complete bikes, frames, components, accessories and clothes -- as well as new basic supplies.
We’ll learn a bit about Bike Farm then ride!
