Reach the Beach is Almost Here!

What once seemed so far away is almost here! On May 16th you will be able to show others that hard work really does pay off, whether you’re doing the 100-mile or 77-mile Reach the Beach route. Kudos to everyone that has been taking part in our training rides. We have seen some amazing country views the past few weeks.

The American Lung Association has asked our club to represent the ride on several occasions during the last few weeks, and I think we did an amazing job. On April 1st I was at Trek in Beaverton for their info session. A PBC representative talked about our free training rides, and everyone that showed up received 50% off RTB registration. Then on April 5th there was a Reach the Beach kickoff party at BMW in Beaverton, where we again talked about our free training rides. Reach the Beach posts our free training rides on their Facebook page and their website, which also gives our club more exposure. I was very impressed with the number of people that showed up to the kickoff party, in addition to PBC members. Our club was able to make more connections with other riders, and the event gave our club even more exposure.
