Pioneer Century® Volunteers Needed
Our own signature event, Pioneer Century®, is Saturday, June 13. Our TEAM of organizers can really use a few more players.
“Event coordinator” sounds intimidating, but this is not a solo job. We have a group of club members ready to help in every way.

Also needed, an assistant volunteer coordinator to cheerlead volunteers, fill a few remaining vacant slots, and help keep volunteers informed.
Finally, we need a food shopper! YES! There’s an opening! Go on a big shopping expedition with other volunteers to COSTCO. (I just can’t use enough exclamation points in this paragraph. It’s just too much!) Have fun, search out food items, argue over pickles, eat a Costco hot dog, and spend a ton of money that isn’t yours! It’s the best.
We have many volunteers already signed up to help. Thank you! PIONEER is our very own event. We have organized this event ride for decades, with a gap in 2020 and 2021. We take pride in sharing these beautiful routes with other area cyclists. We have always designed exceptional rest stops with snack items that we, as cyclists ourselves, know our guests will enjoy and appreciate as fuel for their ride. We try to have fun with it while giving thought for safety and our riders’ well-being.
PLEASE! Give some thought to taking on a larger role with the club. Just for our beloved Pioneer. Use your skills and abilities to make our event ride a continued success. Invite friends or family to help. Bring along a co-conspirator, someone you know and work well with. Be a mini-team within the TEAM. Of course, we welcome your support in the form of your rider registration. This club is all about riding bikes. Ride the Pioneer. No guilt. But if you aren’t riding… you should support your club by volunteering.

Talk up our ride to cycling friends. It’s not too late to push for a longer route, as there is time to train. Or encourage cyclists to ride the 33-mile route. All lovely and bucolic. Again, this is us! Talk it up.
