Club Picnic: Sunday, August 4
The Portland Bicycling Club will hold its annual picnic on Sunday, August 4, at Columbia Park. We ask that you register no later than August 1 so we can get an accurate headcount. Click here to register online. Due to positive feedback, we will be keeping it potluck style. The club will provide cold-cut sandwiches and beverages; please bring a side dish based on your last name. Also, to be greener, we encourage you to bring your own plate and eating utensils (disposable products will be available though).
- Last names beginning with A-L: Bring a salad or appetizer
- Last names M-Z: Bring a dessert
The picnic portion of the event will begin at 12:00 noon for members only and their guests — not too late to become a member! However, you don’t have to be a member to participate in the morning rides. Ride options include a 32-mile non-group ride (led by Tom Carter) starting at 9:00 AM, a 20-mile group ride (led by Ann Morrow) starting at 9:30 AM, and a family ride (led by Pat McManus) starting at 10:00 AM. The picnic will conclude with wonderful raffle prizes from local bike shops.
