Wednesday Waterfalls: Cascade Locks Trailhead East & West
Sign-up
Description
WEDNESDAY WATERFALL SERIES: THEME & VARIATIONS. We will start in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge for a stunning tour of waterfalls. You may recognize some Oregon history in this week’s lineup of waterfalls along the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail: Hole‑in‑the‑Wall Falls, Lancaster Falls, Cabin Creek Falls, and Starvation Creek Falls. Come explore the Gorge's waterfall wonders on a scenic adventure and enjoy the view at Wind Mountain Overlook!
The route is a short, simple, out-and-back ride, and we'll set out as a group; however, you're also welcome to ride at your own pace. There are restrooms and drinking water on the State Trail, but you'll want to bring your own snacks. After the turnaround at the trail closure, we'll have a rest stop at Hole-in-the Wall Falls on the way back. Because the trail is closed to go east all the way to Mitchell Point Tunnel, once we return to the Start, we'll explore the trail west to Eagle Creek for 3 miles out and back, making the total distance for the ride 35 miles.
Please contact me if you have any questions about this ride.
