LYLE-GOLDENDALE LOOP: If you’ve never ridden the Klickitat Canyon, you’re in for a treat. We will roll out from the Lyle Trailhead and ease into the day for an adventure along the Klickitat River, as the canyon narrows and the walls rise around us on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge. This route strings together rivers, creeks, tributaries, canyon walls, and wide‑open plateau views featuring Mt Adams.

After the town of Klickitat, we'll begin the climb toward Centerville and Goldendale. This is classic high-quality riding: low traffic, smooth pavement, rolling terrain, and big‑sky views in every direction. The climbing is steady and friendly...more “find your rhythm” than “fight for survival.” Then we'll enjoy a sweeping descent toward Maryhill, where the landscape opens dramatically and the Columbia River comes back into view. The final miles along Hwy 14 bring us home with river views and a peaceful, downhill finish back to Lyle.

You'll have the option to ride with me as a group (we'll re-group at key points) and must be able to maintain a minimum cruising speed of 13 MPH on a flat or gentle hill terrain. Riders slower than 13 MPH on Level A terrain and faster riders are welcome to participate non-group and ride at their own pace.

Come ride the canyon in the spring while it's green and gorgeous. This will feel like a rewarding scenic detour (disguised as exercise).
